Jittagarn Kaewtinkoy stands as one of the most recognized contemporary Thai painters, having exhibited his work in various countries, including the Philippines, Singapore, China, and the United States. His pieces, imbued with rich symbolic undertones, offer profound reflections on societal structural issues, prompting viewers to explore deeper meanings and engage in meaningful dialogues concerning the complexities of human existence.

As a native of Uthai Thani, located far from Thailand’s central hub, Jittagarn gained deeper insights into the country’s inequalities and social structures, delving into issues of inequality and social class with profound understanding

Jittagarn’s works serve as mirrors, reflecting the structural problems inherent in the country’s politics, traditions, and ethical values, all within a society overshadowed by myth and certain regimes that suppress freedom and creativity.

Frequently infusing dark humor into his bold use of colors and symbolic objects, Jittagarn communicates the intricate relationship between societal contexts and Thailand’s social and political issues on a global scale in his paintings. Jittagarn’s works raise questions about humanity’s potential, highlighting a paradoxical reality. Despite the progress facilitated by technology, humanity still struggles with voracious resource competition and warfare in the modern world.

Jittagarn has garnered recognition across multiple countries, with his work being showcased in several countries outside of Thailand, including the Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, China, Italy and the United States. He received an Artist Residency in China in 2011 and participated in exhibitions sponsored by the Singapore Art Museum. In 2016, he held a solo exhibition titled “In the Loop” at Yavuz Gallery in Singapore. Since then, his work has been consistently showcased both domestically and internationally, continuing to captivate audiences up to the present day.

จิตรการ แก้วถิ่นคอย เป็นหนึ่งในศิลปินไทยร่วมสมัยที่เป็นที่รู้จักและได้รับความสนใจมากทั้งในและต่างประเทศ ผ่านผลงานจิตรกรรมเสมือนจริงแนวสัญลักษณ์นิยมสะท้อนปัญหาเชิงโครงสร้างกระตุ้นให้ผู้ชมสำรวจความเป็นไป และมีส่วนร่วมในการค้นหาคำตอบเกี่ยวกับความซับซ้อนของการดำรงอยู่ของมนุษย์

เขาเกิดที่จังหวัดอุทัยธานีห่างไกลจากศูนย์กลางของประเทศไทย ทำให้เขามองเห็นรายละเอียดระบบโครงสร้างทางสังคม ความเหลื่อมล้ำ  ความไม่เท่าเทียม  ตลอดจนชนชั้นทางสังคมได้อย่างลึกซึ้ง

ผลงานจิตรกรรมของเขาสะท้อนปัญหาเชิงโครงสร้างของประเทศ การเมือง จารีตประเพณี ศีลธรรมอันดีงาม ภายใต้สังคมที่ถูกมายาคติครอบงำ รวมไปถึงการมีอยู่ของระบอบบางอย่างที่กักขังเสรีภาพและจินตนาการ นอกจากนี้ยังแฝงไปด้วยตลกร้ายผ่านการใช้สีและสัญลักษณ์ที่สะท้อนความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างบริบททางสังคม การเมือง รวมไปถึงการตั้งคำถามกับความเป็นไปของมนุษย์ท่ามกลางความเปลี่ยนแปลงทางเทคโนโลยี ที่มนุษย์ยังคงวนเวียนอยู่กับการแย่งชิงทรัพยากรและการก่อสงครามอย่างเช่นทุกวันนี้

ผลงานของเขาเป็นที่ยอมรับในหลายประเทศ จึงได้มีโอกาสไปจัดแสดงงานมาหลายครั้ง อาทิ สิงคโปร์ ฟิลิปปินส์ อินโดนีเซีย ใต้หวัน จีน อิตาลี และ สหรัฐอเมริกา นอกจากนั้นยังได้รับเชิญเป็น Artist Residency ที่ประเทศจีนในปี 2011 และยังได้รับเชิญร่วมแสดงงานกับศิลปินเอเชียตะวันออเฉียงใต้ ซึ่งได้รับการสนับสนุนจาก Singapore Art Museum ต่อมาในปี 2016 จิตรการ แก้วถิ่นคอย ได้มีนิทรรศการเดี่ยวที่มีชื่อว่า In the loop ที่ Yavuz Gallery ในประเทศสิงคโปร์ ได้มีผลงานจัดแสดงทั้งในและต่างประเทศอย่างต่อเนื่องในเวลาถัดมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน
